Dedicated Server Hosting

Kiss' bespoke hosting services are the core of what we do. Because we are not a large conglomerate, we don't have a standard dedicated server solution. We can host your dedicated server with almost any configuration and any applications that you need. We can build the machine for you or you can provide it for us to plug in. You can purchase a dedicated server from us, or we can lease one to you. We can manage and monitor your box 24/7, or just provide rackspace and connectivity.

We can set up Terminal Services or PC Anywhere access to your machine for you to manage, or you can simply leave the management to us, as it's what we do best! You may have a non-standard application that other hosting companies cannot cope with. Maybe your application cannot be supported by your internal IT staff. There are many good reasons to choose a Kiss hosting dedicated server. In short, we can match the requirements you have for a dedicated server, particularly if it doesn't fit in to the matrix of what other hosting companies are offering.

SQL Replication

With distributed applications, your SQL database may have to be replicated to other sites or servers. We have a wealth of experience setting up SQL server replication from our datacentre. This can be to another machine in our cabinet as part of a load balanced solution, to your head office so you can analyse or work with data held at both locations, or as part of a disaster recovery plan.

Disaster Recovery

As well as our main datacentre, Kiss have secondary location for hosting. The two datacentres are connected by a high speed dark fibre VLAN, so that a server in one datacentre appears on the same network as one in the other. We have redundant internet connectivity with failover routing so that in the unlikely even of the primary connection failing, your website or application will still be available to the outside world. Our secondary datacentre can also function completely autonomously, so that should the worst happen, a secondary server in our DR datacentre will continue to function. With so much hype about disaster recovery, a server in a secondary location gives you peace of mind for your mission critical application.

Storage Area Network

In conjunction with our Datacentre hosts, Kiss offer a Tivoli Storage Area Network (SAN) backup solution. Your data is no longer backed up onto occasionally unreliable tapes, but onto a massive disk array, stored in a secondary location on the same site. This network backup is secure, fast, reliable and completely automated for the maximum protection of your data. As an additional option, data can be shipped over a network and stored hundreds of miles away, should you require.
